José Ignacio an interesting place to visit in Uruguay

José Ignacio in Uruguay is a small peninsula near Punta del Este, at kilometre 182 Route 10, by the way, Sainz Eugenio Martínez Maldonado Department of Uruguay.
This paradise of the Uruguayan Atlantic coast is about two miles long by half a mile wide and is located between Laguna Garzón and José Ignacio with two amazing and different beaches.

West side Playa Mansa and across the peninsula is the Playa Brava. José Ignacio in Uruguay is currently considered one of the best fishing beaches and coastal shipping and has become a major tourist attraction increasingly crowded. From all over the world come to visit the last relic of Punta del Este.

Both the Laguna Garzón and José Ignacio are great for water sports like sailing, windsurfing and canoeing, motor boats are prohibited by wildlife conservation. Both lagoons have a type of brackish water because it is connecting to the sea.

In the highest part of the resort is the lighthouse, built in 1877 and subsequently restored, stunning looks attract the stares of tourists for its excellent state of preservation.

One of the favourite walks is the ascent to the lighthouse, as from 30 meters high, which has allowed us to delight in the wonderful panorama of José Ignacio.

Favourite places to visit are in Jose Ignacio in Uruguay: the square, the residential area, the amphitheatre, the Parish ” Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception “, the Mansa and Brava beaches, the walk of artisans, the José Ignacio Lagoon and Laguna Garzón.

There is a gastronomic circuit with more than 20 restaurants, Catholic Chapel, Department of Arts, Crafts, Boutiques Clothes and Children’s Games in the Main Plaza. A major attraction is a cuisine that offers not only the best seafood but invites a variety of national and international dishes.

You can get there by air from Carrasco International Airport in Montevideo and then travel by road, as directly to the airport in Punta del Este.
Or by sea across the Rio de la Plata from Buenos Aires and by land from Montevideo through interbalnearia route to Punta del Este, then the path Eugenio Martínez Sainz Route 10 to 182km.

The climate is subtropical in José Ignacio in Uruguay, warm summer temperatures (December to March) range from 21ºC to 32ºC, while winter (June-September) ranging from 6ºC and 18ºC.
