Located in the northwest of Uruguay, this State is conformed by a basaltic land. In the fluvial courses the forest gallery appears. Benefitting of the abundant grasses, the main economic activity is the breeding of bovine and ovine livestock.Also are cultivated: cereals, citric, vineyards, and fruit-bearing. Exists industries of products of the livestock. It has a good net of communications, consistent in railroad, highways, airports and fluvial ports.
