Capital: Rivera City
State located in the Uruguayan north, occupying part of the “penillanura cristalina” (crystalline plain land). It is a plain territory on which highlight the “cuchillas” (wavy lands). The climate is warmer and rainier than the national stocking. The traditional wealth is the bovine cattle raising. The agricultural production consists on cereals, tobacco, potatoes, sunflower and tropical fruits. It has important mining resources as gold, iron, manganese and semi-precious stones.
